Transport management: the entire route from A to Z
SMART HUB Logistics is able, if the customer requests this, to arrange the entire transport management. In transport management we take care of the complete process from arranging the right transport mode, the monitoring of the journey, informing the recipient of the shipment in advance, to the correct delivery at the final destination. We will continuously stay on top of it and keep you informed of the progress. The financial settlements with the forwarder can also be part of our transport management services. We do this for both FTL transport and LTL transport. Both within the Netherlands and throughout Europe.
What is the difference between LTL and FTL Transport?
LTL transport means Less than Truck Load. These are small deliveries (for instance a few pallets) which a forwarder will come and load at our site and he will combine these with small deliveries from other shippers.
FTL transport is the term used for transporting a fully loaded truck. The acronym FTL stands for Full Truck Load. In case of FTL transport we load a truck completely full of your products for one final destination. The products will remain on the same truck during the entire FTL transport and do not need to be transferred to another truck by the forwarder during the journey.
